Personalized, non-invasive neurofeedback designed to strengthen attention, processing speed, and academic performance for students of all ages.
Learning disabilities can affect how the brain processes, retains, and applies information. Children and adults with learning challenges may experience differences in attention, memory, language processing, or executive functioning that impact academic performance and confidence. These challenges are not a reflection of intelligence — they often involve differences in how certain brain networks communicate.
While traditional academic interventions focus on skill-building, they may not directly address underlying brain regulation patterns. Neurofeedback offers a structured, non-invasive approach designed to support healthier neural communication and improved cognitive efficiency. By providing real-time feedback, this training process helps encourage stronger focus, processing stability, and learning readiness over time.
An expanding body of research continues to explore how neurofeedback may support individuals with learning-related challenges. At Intact Health Center, we create personalized training programs aimed at strengthening attention, memory integration, and cognitive consistency for both short-term academic support and long-term development.

Difficulties with decoding, fluency, or retaining what has just been read.
Challenges with motor coordination or structuring complex thoughts into writing.
Taking longer to respond to prompts or complete timed assignments.
Easily distracted or struggling to shift attention between tasks efficiently.
Learning differences can affect how individuals process information, retain knowledge, and apply skills in academic or professional settings. When underlying brain regulation patterns are imbalanced, it may impact reading comprehension, written expression, memory integration, and sustained focus. Early identification and structured brain-based support can help build stronger cognitive foundations and long-term academic confidence.

Real stories from real patients who have experienced the benefits of neurofeedback.
Appreciated immensely how efficient things were handled from the very first minute I stepped into the office. I initially wasn’t thrilled about getting X-rays taken until I realized “how are they going to get me to where I need to be unless they first understand where I’m at?” Real derp moment for me! Haha Walked out with noticeable relief and confident in my treatment plan laid out by the Dr. Thanks Again and highly recommend!
If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would. I came from Lapeer to start neurofeedback as I have epilepsy and I learned that it can decrease seizure activity in the brain. I also went to see Dr. Colin for chiropractic work as I've been having a lot of pain in my hips and back. Everyone was extremely professional and they treated me as a friend, rather than "just a client." Since my adjustment, my pain has gone down significantly and I feel like I can stand and walk easier. Dr. Colin goes above and beyond, deserving way more than 5 stars!
I don't normally see chiro for adjustments. I uses to be a physical therapist assistant and can normally fix myself. Colin is a good friend of my son, so when I had a neck injury that I couldn't fix, I saw Colin. I was nervous, I never had my neck adjusted. Colin took xrays and described in detail my neck issues. He then proceeded to work on my neck and I left pain-free and headache free. I would recommend his services to all my friends and family.
I was out of town for Thanksgiving and needed to see a chiropractor while in Michigan. I found, Dr. Colin Smith, Intact Health Centers located in Rochester and he was able to see me that day! The care and treatment was by far "the best" experience. Even better with the experience, I could not pass up on the prices for this service(s). X-ray, consult, and adjustment was so reasonable and BETTER than where I live. I only paid $60 AND came out with a disk with my x-ray(s)!!! It's the best in the area and was not disappointed. KNOWS what he is talking about.
I've had an amazing experience at Intact Health Centers. Dr. Colin is incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and takes the time to truly understand your health concerns. I’ve been receiving both neurofeedback and chiropractic treatment, and the combination has made a noticeable difference in my focus, energy, and overall well-being. The team is friendly, the office is welcoming, and the care is top-notch. If you’re looking for a place that takes a comprehensive and personalized approach to health, I highly recommend Dr. Colin and the team at Intact!
I’ve been having immense back pain from my delivery job. After two sessions with Dr. Colin Smith, I’ve been able to get in and out of my car seamlessly without pain. I haven’t had the constant ache I was growing used to while driving. I would Highly recommend Intact Health Center for anyone needing help feeling less pain.
I had never been to a chiropractor before and was originally nervous to come in but Dr. Colin is amazing. He has helped me through my pregnancy so much with sciatic pain and back pain. I’m walking better and much more comfortable. I highly recommend you come here and see him. I’ve had quite a few sessions now and plan on continuing to see him after pregnancy as well. He listens to everything you say and truly cares about his patients.
From the moment you walk into Intact Health Care, you feel welcomed. The office is clean, modern, and has a very calming atmosphere. My chiropractor was extremely knowledgeable and explained the 'why' behind every adjustment, which really put me at ease. If you’re looking for high-quality chiropractic care with a personal touch, this is the place to go.
Neurofeedback supports the brain systems involved in attention, processing speed, and regulation. By encouraging more balanced brain activity, it may help improve focus, learning efficiency, and academic consistency.
Yes. Neurofeedback is non-invasive and drug-free. It simply provides real-time feedback to the brain to encourage healthier regulation patterns and does not involve electrical stimulation or medication.
Neurofeedback may support students experiencing attention-related learning difficulties, slow processing speed, reading or comprehension challenges, and academic frustration linked to nervous system dysregulation.
Every student’s brain pattern is different. Some families notice improvements in focus and emotional regulation within a few weeks, while academic progress may develop gradually with consistent training.
No. Neurofeedback is not a replacement for academic support services. It may serve as a complementary approach by helping improve attention and cognitive regulation alongside tutoring or educational interventions.
